{"id":3081,"date":"2020-03-04T09:10:21","date_gmt":"2020-03-04T09:10:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alpe-adriatours.com\/neobiota\/?page_id=3081"},"modified":"2020-09-16T17:16:46","modified_gmt":"2020-09-16T17:16:46","slug":"terms-and-conditions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/alpe-adriatours.com\/neobiota\/terms-and-conditions\/","title":{"rendered":"General terms and conditions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>\n<strong>Registration\nFee <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe registration fee and the services included\nin registration fee can be found in the applicable event description\n(web site or registration form). \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Registration\nof Participants <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nBy registering to attend the event, general\nterms and conditions are deemed to be accepted. Registration needs to\nbe completed within the registration deadlines as set out in the\napplicable event program. When the number of participants is limited,\nany last-minute registrations are available on \u201ea case by case\u201c\nbasis upon request. Registration obliges the participant to pay the\nregistration fee if stipulated by event description. Once the payment\n(via credit card or bank transfer) is received, the registration will\nbe confirmed. The participants authorize the Organizer to securely\nstore and process the data provided during registration. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Method of\nPayment <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nPayment can be done by credit card (MasterCard,\nVisa) online or offline and by bank transfer. Using bank transfer,\nall bank charges have to be supported by the participant\/payer and\nshould be added to the total amount. Cheques are not accepted. Rates\nin EURO will be charged in the invoices in Croatian kuna according to\nthe Croatian National Bank official exchange rate at the day of\ninvoicing. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>VAT <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nAs stated in the article 53 of Directive\n2006\/112\/EC, registration fee is subject to VAT applicable in the\ncountry where the event is taking place, even when supplied to\ntaxable persons. The VAT charge is therefore applicable to all\nparticipants. Please consult with your country\u2019s tax advisor for\nassistance in claiming your refund. According to Croatia&#8217;s tax\nregulation a 25% VAT charge has been applied to the registration\nfees. Organizer reserves the right to amend this charge should the\nVAT rule or rate change. For EU companies to apply VAT directives and\nin order to avoid any complications, please make sure your VAT number\nis officially recognized by the EU Taxation and Customs Union office\n(VIES). Should your company not be VAT registered or your EU VAT\nnumber cannot be recognized by the EU site mentioned above, the VAT\namount will still be added to your invoice and won\u2019t be refundable.\nOrganizer cannot be held responsible for any problem you may\nencounter related to VAT refund or VAT number not provided. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Letter of\nConfirmation \/ Payment Receipt <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nA letter of confirmation \/ payment receipt will\nbe sent by email once the fully completed registration form and the\nrelated payment has received. Participant must present this\nconfirmation \/ payment receipt at the registration counter as proof\nof his\/her registration and payment. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Registration\nName Change <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nIf a delegate cannot attend the event, the\nOrganizer accepts a substitute colleague at any time. Requests for\nsubstitutions will only be accepted by e-mail indicating the name of\nthe cancelled delegate as well as the name, function and contact\ndetails of the substitute. Please note that after the deadline\nindicated for each event, a fee of \u20ac 50,00 may be applied for\nsubstitutions. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Visa\nRequirements <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nIt is the sole responsibility of the\nparticipant to take care of visa requirements. Participants who\nrequire an entry visa must allow sufficient time for the visa\napplication procedure. Please check all the information here\nhttp:\/\/www.mvep.hr\/en\/consular-information\/visas\/visa-requirements-overview\/.\nParticipant registration details might be shared with the immigration\nauthorities to assist in the immigration process. To receive an\ninvitation letter for the event, participants must first register and\npay the registration fee in full. They can then contact the Organizer\nto ask for the invitation and\/or warranty letter. All expenses\nincurred in relation to the event and the visas are the sole\nresponsibility of the participant. Should the delegate not be granted\nhis\/her visa, the registration fee will be reimbursed (minus an\nadministrative charge of \u20ac 50,00) if and only if he\/she provides\nthe Organizer with an official document from the concerned Embassy\nrejecting the visa and that the application was made at least four\n(4) weeks prior to the event date. The Organizer will grant visa\ninvitation letters up to four (4) weeks prior to the event date.\nWithin less than four (4) weeks from the event date visa invitation\nletters cannot be guaranteed. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Travel\nInsurance <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nDelegates are strongly advised to procure their\nown personal and travel insurance. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nCancellation of the Event \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nWhere the event is cancelled as a result of a\nforce majeure or insufficient number of participants or for reasons\nwhich are not the fault of the Organizer, only the registration fee\nwill be refunded, less administrative charge of \u20ac 75,00 per\nparticipant; however, this shall not apply to any other expenses\nexceeding this (such as, for example, hotel booking, flight and train\ntickets, etc.). Cancellation by the Participant Notification of\ncancellation must be made in writing and sent by email indicating the\ncancelled delegate. The following rules apply in case of cancellation\n\u2013 for individual and group cancellations: &#8211; Cancellation notified\nuntil and including the date indicated in the Registration Form will\nmerit 100% refund (minus administrative charges of \u20ac 75,00). &#8211;\nCancellation made after the date indicated in the Registration Form\nwill not merit refund. &#8211; Refunds will not be made for no-shows and\nunattended events. &#8211; Bank charges applied to a refund will be borne\nby the delegates. In case of overpayment or double payment, refund\nrequests including valid proof of the overpayment or double payment\nmust be made in writing and sent by email to the Organizer, no later\nthan one month after the event. An administrative charge of \u20ac 50,00\nwill be applied for all refunds. Changes to the Event Program The\nOrganizer reserves the right to make amendments to the program or any\nrelated activities at its discretion. These changes do not lead to a\nrefund or a reduction in price of the registration fee. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>2. TERMS\nAND CONDITIONS \u2013 ACCOMMODATION BOOKING <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nAccommodation Booking \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nAll accommodation bookings shall be governed by\nthe general terms and conditions of the accommodation venue in\nquestion. Bookings for a particular venue shall only be binding where\nthe event participant guarantees the booking by furnishing credit\ncard details and if they are confirmed in writing by the Organizer.\nThe written booking confirmation by the Organizer results in a\nbinding contract coming into effect between the client (the guest, or\nthe event participant) and the venue selected by the Organizer. The\nguest\/participant shall be responsible for paying the accommodation\ncosts directly at the venue before departing. The guest can be asked\nfor a credit card on check-in to guarantee any extra charges in\naddition to the room charge. Where the venue fails to honor the\ncontract to accommodate the guest, the venue shall be directly liable\nto the guest\/participant. Any claims arising from this shall be\nasserted directly against the venue by the guest\/participant. In the\nevent that there are no rooms available in the congress participant&#8217;s\nvenue of choice, the Organizer shall be entitled to arrange\naccommodation in another venue, unless this is specifically declined\nby the participant. Any questions regarding the booking of\naccommodation venues, changes to confirmed bookings or cancellations\nshould be put in writing to the Organizer. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Cancellations\nof Individual Accommodation Reservation <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nIn case of cancellation of already confirmed\naccommodation reservation, specific rules for the event may apply. If\nthose rules are not indicated in the Registration Form, the general\nrule applies as described below. In the event of cancellation up to\n30 days prior to arrival date, no charge will incur. From 30 days\nprior to arrival date, one night will be charged in case of\ncancellation. Please note that in the event of late cancellations\n(from 30 days prior to arrival date) the Organizer reserves the right\nto charge the full stay for any cancelled rooms, cancelled nights or\nno-shows if the room cannot be resold. The venue may reserve the\nright to charge the full stay upon check-in. The venue may also\ncharge or block an amount on your credit card to guarantee the extra\nexpenses. Each venue has its own independent policy for both cases.\nIn case the documentation specific for the event stipulates different\nconditions for cancellations, then those specific conditions shall be\ngiven precedence. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>3. TERMS\nAND CONDITIONS \u2013 INDUSTRY \/ EXHIBITORS <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nRegistration Registration for the utilization\nof exhibition space for the applicable event shall be made in\nwriting. The written registration shall be binding for the exhibitor\nbut does not in itself give rise to any claims by the exhibitor.\nFundamentally the only thing that is hired is purely the space. The\nhire charges do not include any setting up, connections and\/or\nequipment. Where necessary, this shall have to be done by the\nexhibitors themselves or hire these services by the Organizer or by\nthe third party. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Confirmation\nof Registration <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nOnly a limited number of spaces are available\nfor each exhibition. Depending on availability, the exhibitor will\nreceive confirmation of the allocation of the requested exhibition\nspace as well as an invoice for the hire of this space. Any claim by\nthe exhibitor to any particular exhibition space shall only arise\nfollowing the confirmation of registration and payment of the full\nsum charged by the Organizer in the invoice for the exhibition space.\n\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Acceptance\n<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nBy registering in writing for an exhibition\nspace, the exhibiting company acknowledges these terms and conditions\nand accepts their validity. Moreover, the exhibiting company\ncovenants that it shall comply with all relevant regulations\nregarding employment or trade law, technical safety regulations and\nany existing house rules and general terms and conditions at the\nindividual locations. Exhibitors are liable for their employees. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Exhibition\nSpaces <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe allocation of exhibition spaces is governed\nby safety considerations as well as by the availability of space. The\nallocation of these shall be carried out by the Organizer. Where\npossible, any requests by exhibitors for a special location will be\ntaken into consideration. However, there is no entitlement to a\nparticular location. The Organizer reserves the right to change the\nlocation or make other changes at any time, without this leading to\nany entitlement for the exhibitors to assert any claims against the\nOrganizer. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Conditions\nof Payment <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe applicable prices are those set out in the\nregistration forms. These shall in any event be transferred without\ndeductions before the commencement of the event. The Organizer\nreserves the right to refuse entry to the event if the fee set out in\nthe registration form has not been paid before the commencement of\nthe event. In such a case the registered exhibitor company shall\nnevertheless still be obligated to pay the fee. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Setting\nup and Disassembling the Stand <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe current legal regulations apply to the\nsetting up and disassembling of the stands, as well as to their\ndesign; moreover the rules of the event location need to be complied\nwith. Other than that, the exhibitors are free in their design of the\nstands. Other exhibitors must not be inured, endangered or otherwise\nadversely affected by the type and design of the stand. The design of\nthe stand must not contravene public morals. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Times for\nSetting up and Disassembling <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe times for setting up and disassembling\nstands and exhibition items, as well as specific conditions for the\nexhibition shall be distributed by the Organizer in good time before\nthe exhibition begins, and these are to be complied with by the\nexhibitors. All structural measures and substantial decoration work\nneed to be completed during this time. In the event that the\ndisassembling and removal does not take place within the agreed time,\nthe exhibitor shall pay any remaining costs of disassembling as well\nas a penalty fee of \u20ac 1.000,00 plus statutory VAT per day. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Subletting\n\/ Distribution of Stands <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe exhibitor is not allowed to pass an\nexhibition area assigned to him to anyone else. The hired exhibition\nspace may only be used by persons or businesses other than those\npersons\/exhibitors listed in the registration form, if specific,\nwritten permission for this has been obtained from the Organizer.\nRemoval of Rubbish and Cleaning of the Stands Cleaning the stands and\nkeeping them clean, as well as any measures to avoid rubbish are a\nmatter for and obligation of the exhibitor. When leaving the stand\narea at the end of the exhibition, all exhibits as well as any\nerections or fixings are to be removed from the conference location.\nThe removal of any items which are left behind shall attract a fee\nthat is in line with the customary prices of the location. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Stand\nSecurity <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe stands are not guarded. The Organizer does\nnot accept any liability for any of the items exhibited or for any\nother items taken to the exhibition location by the exhibitor or his\nemployees. At the exhibitor&#8217;s request and depending on availability,\na lockable room can be made available overnight, for the storage of\nvaluable stand materials. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Liability,\nAccident Prevention\/ Official Regulations \/ Forfeiture Clause <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe Organizer does not accept any duty of care\nof the materials to be exhibited or the furnishings of the stands,\nand all liability in this respect is excluded. The Organizer also\nexclude any and all liability for the disappearance of any exhibits,\nequipment, clothes and any other items brought to the event location\nby the exhibitor or its employees. The exhibitor shall be responsible\nfor affixing any necessary safety devices to any equipment or\nmachines exhibited and used by that exhibitor, such devices must\nconform to the applicable accident prevention regulations. The\nexhibitor shall be liable for any damage caused to persons or things,\nwhere such damage is caused by the operation of exhibited items or in\nthe course of such items being set up or disassembled. The Organizer\nshall accept no liability in respect of any such damage. Any claims\nby the company against the Organizer shall become void if they are\nnot asserted in writing and by registered mail within one month of\nthe due date. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Force\nMajeure, Industrial Action <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nIn cases of force majeure, such as fire,\nindustrial action, war, disturbances, other catastrophes and the\nlike, which would prevent the realization of the event at the planned\npoint in time, or which would make it significantly more difficult to\ndo so, the Organizer shall be entitled to move the date of the event.\nIn such an event the hire payments already paid for the stands shall\nbe considered remuneration for the postponed event. Where the event\ndoes not take place for the reasons set out above, the Organizer\nshall be entitled to retain 10% of the invoice amount as general\nexpenses. Any further claims by the Organizer against the company\nshall only arise in cases where the company has commissioned\nparticular work, which incurred additional costs. The exhibitor shall\nhave no further claims against the Organizer. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Cancellation\nof the Event \/ the Exhibition <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nIn case that the event \/ the exhibition is\ncancelled by the Organizer, all sponsorship monies as well as any\npayments for any agreed services shall be repaid to the exhibitor\nwithin one month, with a deduction 10% of the invoice amount. Any\nfurther claims by the Organizer against the company shall only arise\nin cases where the company has commissioned particular work, which\nincurred additional costs. The exhibitor shall have no further claims\nagainst the Organizer. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Repudiation\nof the Contract <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nAny repudiation of the contract will have to be\nreceived by the Organizer in writing. Following the conclusion of the\ncontract, the company shall be able to repudiate the contract upon\npayment of a cancellation fee in the sum of 25% of the contractually\nagreed sum, up to three months before the event. In case further\npreparation costs have already been incurred by that time, those will\nbe charged in addition to the above. After this deadline, 100% of the\ncontractually agreed sum shall be due. In any case, the company shall\nhave to pay a fixed lump sum administration fee of \u20ac 250,00. This\nprovision shall also apply unchanged to any such contracts as are\nentered into at a point in time which is already inside the\ncancellation period. In case the documentation specific for the event\nstipulates different conditions for repudiating a contract, then\nthose specific conditions shall be given precedence. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Confidentiality\n<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe parties covenant that they shall maintain\nstrict confidentiality as against third parties in respect of all\nprocesses and data that is worthy of protection, both for the entire\nduration of the cooperation and after the termination of this\nagreement. Each party shall pass this obligation on to the persons\nand assistants engaged with the tasks, and they shall be similarly\nobligated to maintain confidentiality. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>4. TERMS\nAND CONDITIONS \u2013 DATA PROTECTION \/ LIABILITY \/ JURISDICTION <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nData Protection \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe acquisition, handling (which includes\nsaving data, changes, transmission, blocking and erasing) and\nutilization of all personal registration data is executed within the\nguidelines of the effective data protection regulations. The\nOrganizer will collect and store all data necessary for the\npreparation and execution of the event. To make the payment of\nregistration fee or credit card hotel bookings guarantee \u2013 required\ncredit card details (i.e. credit card type and number, CVC code,\nexpiration date, credit card holder name) will also be collected. All\ndata will be securely saved and processed. In order to protect and\nsafeguard the personal data provided, the appropriate business\nprocedures will be applied, as well as technical and physical\nrestrictions for accessing and using personal information. Only\nauthorized employees are permitted to access personal information for\nperforming their duties in respect of our services. Our server and\nnetwork are protected by firewalls against unauthorized access. In\naddition, the Organizer may share only contact details of attendees\nwith third parties that may use these details to contact attendees\nregarding activities at the event or other communications which may\nbe of interest. The event organizers are obliged to give out\nattendee`s data due to a court or an official order. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Liability\n<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe Organizer shall only be liable for the\nperformance of its tasks as set out in the applicable event program\nwhere the usual standard of care has been breached, but only where\nthis was done intentionally. Croatian law shall be applicable in such\ncases. Any acknowledgement of liability on the part of the Organizer\nshall only be valid where such an acknowledgment is made in writing.\nOral representations shall not form the basis for any liability. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>Place of\nJurisdiction <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nThe place of jurisdiction for all parties shall\nbe in Koprivnica, Croatia. The applicable law shall be the law of\nCroatia. \n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\n<strong>5. TERMS\nAND CONDITIONS \u2013 ACCEPTANCE <\/strong>\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nAcceptance of Terms and Conditions These Terms\nand Conditions shall apply to all Alpe-Adriatours events unless the\ndocumentation specific for each event stipulates different\nconditions, then those specific conditions shall be given precedence.\nBy registering for any Alpe-Adriatours these Terms and Conditions are\nconsidered accepted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\nInsurance police: CROATIA OSIGURANJE D.D.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Registration Fee The registration fee and the services included in registration fee can be found in the applicable event description (web site or registration form).
